Ramco Litigation Funding, has been a global sponsor of the 11th edition of the Arbitration Open, which took place on 7 and 8 May, with the participation of more than 700 arbitration professionals from over 25 countries.
Ramco Litigation Funding had the honour of promoting a high-level panel, in which our CEO, Cristina Soler, participated, on one of the main trends in international arbitration today: the enforcement of arbitral awards and their monetisation through Third Party Funding (TPF).
The panel was moderated by Maribel Rodríguez Vargas, Head of the Legal Department at ACCIONA Energía, and the speakers were:
- Emma Morales (Partner, Arbitration Department, Simmons & Simmons)
- Lourdes Martínez de Victoria Gómez (State Attorney, Kingdom of Spain)
- Carlos Iso Floren (Director of Arbitration, SACYR )
- Damián Vallejo Segura (MCIArb) (Partner, Dunning Rievman & MacDonald LLP, New York)
- Cristina Soler (CEO, Ramco Litigation Funding)
All of them offered valuable insights into trends in the enforcement of arbitral awards and third-party funding from their different perspectives on the process of monetising international arbitral awards, highlighting the significant advantages of monetisation in complex enforcement cases, such as the enforcement of awards against sovereign states.
